In this section, only mark the tumbling skill(s) you can perform at each level.
Note: At your tryout, you will be asked to perform the skills you list on a standard blue tumbling mat (not a spring floor) and part of your evaluation will include how accurately and honestly you have assessed your own abilities.
Please rate the level at which you can execute the following:
Notes:
College cheerleaders are expected to come to their tryout with certain tumbling skills already mastered. As a Governor cheerleader, you will be expected to execute standing and running tumbling frequently during games, so your performance in executing tumbling will weight heavily on your score.
You must be able to execute a standing tuck (with a light spot) at your tryout in order to make the team. You must be able to execute a standing tuck (without any spot) by the pre-football mini-camp in August in order to cheer during football season.
You must execute these skills on a hardwood floor.
A "light spot" means having no more than a hand under your back while twisting, in order to provide stability (not to life or assist in spinning).
You must be able to execute a round-off back handspring back tuck (with a light spot) at your tryout in order to make the team. You must be able to execute a round-off back handspring back tuck (without any spot) by the pre-football mini-camp in August in order to cheer during football season.
